Are foreigners allowed to rent/lease a vehicle?
Yes, foreigners can rent/lease a car and are subjected to the following requirements:
- Possess a valid foreign/international driver’s license if he/she has resided Singapore for up to 12 months from the date of entering Singapore.
- Convert and possess a valid Singapore driver’s license if he/she has resided in Singapore for more than 12 months from the date of entering Singapore.
Am I eligible to rent/lease a car?
You are eligible to rent/lease a car if you are between 24 to 70 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years of driving experience. Additional insurance excess will be applicable if either of the conditions are not met.
What are the documents required for me to rent/lease a car?
The following documents belonging the driver are required upon confirmation of booking.
- For Singaporeans: NRIC and valid Singapore driver’s license
- For Foreigners: Passport/Employment Pass and valid foreign/international/converted Singapore driver’s license, subjected to the requirements listed in FAQ 1.
Am I allowed to drive the car for private-hire purposes (Grab, GoJek, etc)?
No, our cars are not licensed for any private-hire purposes.
Am I allowed to drive into Malaysia with the car?
Driving into West Malaysia is permitted.
